SYNOPSIS

Constructed in the late 1920s, Dodd Hall is known for its elaborate display of Gothic architecture. The building, originally established as a library, has since been used to house the College of Arts and Sciences, the Philosophy Department, and WFSU-TV since 1956. The building that we now know as Dodd Hall was renamed as such in 1961 in honor of William George Dodd who once served as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences as well as an English professor from the year of 1910 to 1944. Though the entirety of Dodd Hall underwent renovation in 1991, the original interior and exterior architecture maintain their integrity. Most notably, Dodd Hall has been recognized as the 10th most popular building in Florida by the Florida chapter of The American Institute of Architects.

The goal was to create an elevation of a historic door on the FSU campus using AutoCAD. Materials including two different types of brickwork coursing required accurate portrayal.
